Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 June 2026

bustapi.com (“the site”) provides free, web-based tools and reference guides for Raspberry Pi developers. This policy explains what data is collected when you use the site and how it is used. The site does not require an account, and we do not ask you for personal information.

Information we collect

The site itself does not collect or store personal information about you. The interactive tools run entirely in your browser — the values you enter (pin selections, config options, file contents) are processed locally and are not sent to or stored on our servers. Some tools save your selections in your browser’s localStorage (for example, your light/dark theme preference) so the site remembers them on your next visit; this data stays on your device.

We do use third-party services that may collect data automatically, described below.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. The site and its third-party providers use cookies and similar technologies (such as localStorage) to remember preferences, measure traffic, and — where applicable — serve advertising. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some site features.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (for example, which tools are popular and which pages are visited). Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you view. This information is aggregated and helps us improve the site. For details, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Advertising

We may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and you can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info. See also How Google uses cookies in advertising.

The site’s search feature is powered by Google Programmable Search Engine, which may set cookies and process your search queries in accordance with Google’s privacy policy.

The site links to external resources such as official Raspberry Pi documentation. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their policies.

Children’s privacy

The site is intended for a general, technical audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
